  Cut-out for the back design. I wanted to represent the underside of the scarab.  Fitting metal pieces into place.  After soldering. This is similar to the way it will look after the patina.  After cleaning, filing and sanding.  Next step is patina.
 Wood insert with wasp image, getting ready to paint.   I used my jeweler's saw with #1 blade to cut out the wood blank.   Some of my image research and my beginning design. Now, to paint.
 The pins are soldered in.  Marked for drilling.  Done.  and...  ...they fit.  Soldering into place.  Now some cleaning and adding design elements.
Steady as she goes.  Using the flexible shaft for shaping and sanding the side pins.   Side pins for all the pendants.  Yep...they fit.  Next, to solder in the bezels.   I've gotten the bales on the outer rings.  Pre-solder set up.  Post-solder set up.   Honeycomb design with copper underlay. Still deciding about the designs of the others.
